AGF - I Am: New Woman (ft. Tujiko Noriko) (Single Edit)

"This video is made of images submitted by producers, DJs, musicians and media artists around the world for the VISIBILITY tumblr by the grass roots movement female:pressure.

The words are inspired by Hiratsuka Raicho which published Japan’s first all-women literary magazine, Seitō (Bluestocking) in 1911. It opened with the words “In the beginning, woman was the sun…” Her words could be referring back to the Japanese foundation myth of Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun who emerged out of a cave and brought sunlight back to the universe.

The track is a collaboration between AGF and Tujiko Noriko for the album: A Deep Mysterious Tone, a work about Japanese poetry, language, identity and feminism."
